Well, wouldn't you know that only in Dallas could we have
A Monumental Fire on Billionaire Row .
The biggest house. The biggest fire. The biggest money.
(Can't believe this made the WashPost, though and all the Cable News,too!)
Sounds like *someone*, however, ran out of cash to finish this bad boy and decided to go for the insurance money.
This rings a bell: I think some wannabe Dallasite has done this before but I forget who or what year or which house.
I knew the Williams family who lived in the house that used to be on this property and it was lovely.
In fact, they gave me a bridal shower there before my wedding in 1981. (Thank you, Holly and Carol!)
Whomever was the nouveau riche genius that tore that down to build this monstrosity should be shot!
North Dallas is not Versailles.
And no woman in her right mind would ever want to clean, dust and vacuum 43,000 square feet, not even a well-paid maid.
