"Don't go wobbly on us now, John!"
Allegedly Conservative writer John Derbyshire GOES NATIVE over at the National Review Online today in his rather pathetic "Islam-really-means-Peace" Moral Equivalency argument"Don't Blame Islam".
I'm sorry, John.
I do blame Islam--at least radical Islam--because I think it's responsible for all of this world-wide murder!
I think Derb is afraid that if he doesn't act the apologist for his aunt's Muslim neighbors in England, they'll hurt her!
He attributes their kindliness to her to their religion.
I attribute it to the long-standing traditions of British neighborliness and polite manners, which they've assimilated from the English!
Sometimes, people look through the wrong end of the microscope!
Notice how Islam's apologists are having a harder and harder time finding the salient points of this belief system.
Notice also how these same apologists are WASPS and not its brown-skinned, Middle Eastern or even Asian adherents.
I find it troubling when a "Conservative" begins to almost whine about Moral Equivalency and the virtues of Multi-culturalism at a time like this.
Time to get ahold of yourself, Derb!
(We should have known when he quoted Kipling last week and warned of the hubris supposedly inherent in the American unilateralism of its foreign policy and "war-mongering" that Derbyshire was wandering off the Reservation!)
