Breaking news: "...in Moscow to die"
Moscow Times, Interfax: Chechen suicide fighters took over concert hall in Moscow
MOSCOW. Oct 23 (Interfax) - It is a Chechen rebel suicide unit under Movsar Barayev, a nephew of field commander Arbi Barayev killed in Chechnya, that is in control of the concert hall in Moscow, Internet media report quoting Chechen separatists-operated site Kavkaz.org as their source.
The rebel unit which includes 40 widows of rebels killed in Chechnya demands withdrawal of Russian federal units from Chechnya, the site quotes Barayev as saying.
Bombs have been planted in the building, he says. His unit are in Moscow "to die, not to survive," he says.
This sounds very, very bad for the innocent Russians inside the theatre....
Dear Lord, please be with President Putin, as well as the hostages, at this dark hour.
To my friend JJ, as soon as you read this, let me know you're OK!
