Islamist mayhem continues: US diplomat killed in Jordan

US diplomat shot dead in Jordan

A US embassy official has been "assassinated" outside his home in Amman, according to the Jordanian Information Minister Mohammad Adwan.

Only the BBC would have the editorial nerve to use the word "assassinate" and then put quotes around it.
(Were they told something they're not telling us, hence the quotes?)

The diplomat has been identified as Lawrence Foley, who worked for the United States Agency for International Development, USAid, and lived in western Amman.
"An unidentified gunman fired at him, killing him on the spot as he prepared to leave his home early this morning to go to work," Mr Adwan said.

I know King Abdullah is going to have to change his shorts more than once today.
Rest in Peace, Mr. Foley--America appreciates your service to our country abroad--especially in a kitty litter hellhole like Jordan--, although we didn't intend for you to give the Ultimate Sacrifice.
