Viva Estrada!
I'm sitting here listening to Sen. Chuck Schumer (P for Poodle to Hitlery, NY) reaming President Bush's nominee for the U.S. Court of Appeals, D.C. Circuit Miguel Estrada and trying to Bork him.
I have never heard such evil, hateful rhetoric being spewed...
and about a highly qualified and respected person who's been nominated for his outstanding legal abilities.
Mr. Estrada has argued 15 cases in front of the SCOTUS, among other things (he emigrated to this country from Honduras when he was 17 and didn't know any English, but went on several years later to graduate from Harvard Law School), but Chuckie makes him sound like a convicted child molester!
Democrats Delenda Est.
I hope they pay dearly for this-- I can't think of what punishment would be awful enough for them.
And Chuck, hope you don't need the Puerto Rican vote!
If you'd like the 4-1-1 on what a fine man and jurist Estrada really is, check out this very good piece by NRO's Byron York:
The White House Case for Miguel Estrada: A final attempt to correct the record.
And note that the WaPo comes out with some real advice for the Dimocrat Senators in this editorial called "Filibustering Judges" .
Their advice on this proposed poisonous activity? Don't.
