Frosty Welcome for Rumsfeld in Germany After Jibe

Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld tried on Friday to dispel German anger over his remark that the country's stance against any war with Iraq put it on a par with Libya and Cuba.
[...]"There are obviously enormous difference between those countries that are opposed to U.S. efforts on Iraq, just as there are differences that exist between those countries that have offered support the U.S.," Rumsfeld said.

"It just happens that Germany, Libya and Cuba are three of those countries that have declared themselves opposed," he said.

"I can't imagine why this would cause a stir because it was those countries themselves that made the statement and the case of one country, Germany, ran a political campaign on it."

Oh, gosh! This is so hilarious it makes me laugh out loud!
Just when you think Rummy can't get any better, he surprises us all!
I so wish he had run for President when he wanted to: he would have been a terrific Commander in Chief.
But thank God we can benefit from his many talents, abilities, wisdom and wit by his highly visible stint as SecDef!
Keep doing what you're doing Secretary Rumsfeld.
