The sublime Katharine Hepburn passes on at age 96
The American Queen
"Our Kate" may have passed from earth, but I'm sure she's rejoined the other "stars in the firmament" like her beloved Spencer Tracy at last.
For me, she will always be immortal in "The Philadelphia Story," which I've seen innumerable times and many of the lines from which I've memorized.
One of my very favorite of Tracy Lord's (as uttered so flawlessly by Ms. Hepburn in the role):
"The time to make up your mind about people is never."
Rest in peace, Kate.
And thank you for being such a bright, shining light on the silver screen and a charming, classy trailblazer for modern women everywhere!
