Recent DOS attacks on warbloggers done by Al Queda!

Scoot on over to Internet Haganah and Winds of Change also to find out the 4-1-1 on the Denial of Service attacks that we warbloggers on HostMatters have suffered this past week and in this group is not only myself and Haganah, but Instapundit, LittleGreenFootballs, the Emperor Misha at the the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler, Citizen Smash/Indepundit, VodkaPundit, Daily Pundit, Pejman Pundit and the Glenn Reynolds of the Iranian Freedom bloggers Hossein Derakhshan, to name some of the most well-known.
In short, this was a major cyber attack on the Voices of Truth.
(Yes, some Lefty bloggers were knocked out, too, but I'm sure they thought it was a small price to pay in the ongoing Culture War (WWIV, homefront) to win hearts and minds.)
Haganah's Aaron Weisburd, who was the main target of this attack (but I'm sure getting the rest of us was a feature, not a bug) is assembling a war chest to tackle the problem--apparently, the jihadis aren't giving up these DOS attacks anytime soon--so why not click on over and donate a few dollars to the Cause!
Given his awesome Tally of Jihadi Site Takedowns, I'd say his track record is pretty darn good.
The Islamists, including Al Queda, have been threatening cyber attacks for some time, so I don't know why I was surprised when it happened, but I was.
Forewarned is forarmed.
I hope Host Matters is doing all it can and in the meantime, I suppose all we warbloggers could and should get mirror sites, but I don't think that keeping a back-up on Blogspot is the answer--they held the title for most online outages which is why most of us moved to HM in the first place!
I've always found the blogosphere to be an exciting place, but it just got a lot more real for me and a lot of other "arm chair warriors!"
Here's the screen capture from Sayyaf (As in Abu Sayyaf? The Asian "brother" of Al Queda?) which Aaron found where they apparently celebrate the success of their attack and mention Aaron and Internet Haganah by name.
If anyone can read this Arabic, let us know...

Update:" Ask and ye shall receive..."
The very erudite Brian Tiemann of the fine Grotto 11 Peeve Farm blog actually got a English translation of the flowery Arabic to me.
It seems the cyber terrorists were sick and tired of Internet Haganah's great success in shutting down all their jihadi websites, so this was definitely payback.
Aaron, you da man!
And Brian, you aren't chopped liver, either!
