September 26, 2005Arafatian hudna: Have Hamas declare a ceasefire, then have your other jihadis attack
Charles Johnson of littlegreenfootballs fame points out Instance #25,492 of Loony Liberal Left bias in the reporting of terror activity in Gaza: [...]Militants in Gaza from the Popular Resistance Committees and al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, part of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah group, fired several rockets into Israel hours after Sunday's Likud session and after Zahar made his comments. Oh, brother! Same old, same old for the Paleostinians! Good to see that both the security fence and Sharon's decision to pull the settlements from Gaza are both working as they were supposed to. It's obviously business as usual for the Paleos, though: Popular Resistance, Al Aqsa and Fatah are the Usual Suspects, set up by Yassir Arafat to "pretend" that the odd man out--in this case Hamas--is the "bad boy" of the family who will now "behave." And isn't Zahar too like his former master Arafat to declare a hudna when his boys are planning another attack? (I also think that Hamas was suitably chastened by the Israeli response and even if they weren't, we got one of their main bad guys. Hooah!) In case you were wondering how that "free, independent state" thingie was going in Gaza, they started out by burning down some synagogues and trashing all the greenhouses, which were hoped to have been a source of jobs and income for the "impoverished" new state. So, nothing has changed; the Paleos continue their love of death, destruction and terror, especially if they can target Jews. One thing has changed, however--the Jewish settlers are no longer targets and when the jihadi rockets come over the fence, Israel's duty to defend herself will be clear. And it will be obvious to the Quartet (isn't it already?) that the Paleostinians most definitely are not keeping up their end of the agreement. |
