Lt. Bush wanted to fly missions in Vietnam attests fellow squadron member
NO-GO: Bush wanted to fly in Vietnam, colonel says - Winston-Salem Journal
This whole deal of digging into President Bush's military records is a farce and a joke and it makes me literally sick to my stomach!
AS IF President Bush would lie...about his National Guard service or anything else.
And I suppose the Dimocrats' feces-flinging monkeys want to next "connect the dots" that the president lied about WMDs in Iraq.
They are so obvious...and just plain disgusting.
[Check out this very good op ed in the San Antonio, TX paper: Bush's accusers owe Americans an apology — he wasn't lying.
The media witch hunt on Bush's military records and the uncovering of Kerry's affair, which they refuse to report on, have shown us all clearly that we aren't going to get "real" coverage of the news from the Big East Coast Liberal papers and must rely on the smaller town ones.
If what the media portrays is that "other America" the Dims keep blathering about, I hate it!]
The White House has given them 400 pages of military records and driving records and dental records, all to prove what I already knew to be true.
I consider this a disrespectful smear job and attempt at political assassination on my President (and yours) when our nation is at war.
Any moron can tell that President Bush is an honest, decent man who isn't a chronic liar, like the impeached 42nd president was.
Shows you the level of intelligence over at the DNC.
They think "everybody does it" and is as evil and venal as they are.
Thank God they're wrong. As usual.
Don't give them anymore, President Bush!
The United States doesn't take our orders from the UN and the Oval Office shouldn't be kowtowing to demands from Michael Moore, who is the Leftist twit who thought up this "Bush was AWOL" smear in the first place!
The Leftist Liberal Dimocrats are going to get creamed in the November elections, not just for the presidency but for all kinds of races and I, for one, am going to relish every gorgeous moment!
Can we please MoveOn® and fight the real war now because the Enemy is still out there and is still trying to kill us and the man whom the Left is trying to malign as a liar and "deserter" is our Commander-in-Chief who needs to be focused on the War on Terror and our national security and not on the Dimocrats' need to be noticed and "validated" (they love that concept, those phony losers!).
The Dims lost in 2000 and in 2002 and they're going to lose in 2004-- BIG TIME.
Suck it up, clymers!
Be mine, Valentine

Happy Valentine's Day!
This has always been one of my favorite holidays.
As I write this, it's
snowing in Dallas, which is either a nuisance or no big deal to all of you people in the North and East, but is a rare and beautiful thing here deep in the heart of Texas and looks like God's lacy valentine to us!
My only regret is that I can't send you all candy hearts, a dozen red roses and a magnum of champagne (domestic, of course)!
Enjoy wherever and whoever you are, anyway.
Here she is: the object of Hanoi John's affection
Pic of 'JFK' sex storm girlTHIS is the girl at the centre of a sex scandal that threatens Democratic front-runner John Kerry’s run for the White House.
Presidential hopeful Kerry, dubbed the new JFK, has denied claims he had a two-year fling with brunette Alex Polier. Alex, 27, was a cross-country runner and in the world affairs club at her Philadelphia school.
One source said: “She was attractive, intelligent and one of the leaders in her year.”
She went on to graduate from Columbia University, New York, and met Kerry, 60, as she began a career as a freelance journalist.
But a probe was under way yesterday into allegations that twice-wed Kerry seduced her after inviting her to join his campaign team in spring 2001.
There is no evidence to support the claims. Dad-of-two Kerry was set to seal the nomination to take on George Bush in the November election when the allegations surfaced.
Alex, who is in Africa with her fiancé Yaron Schwartzman, refused to comment.
Poor thing. I feel sorry for her, because I think Kerry's clearly a sexual predator (just like Bill Clinton) and they don't take "No" for an answer.
If they didn't have an affair, it's because she was able to run from his aggressive advances.
She's a cute, sweet-looking girl.
And apparently the media hunt is on for her in Nairobi, where she's trying to hide out.
Mark my words: she wasn't the first girl to catch his eye and there will be others.

Bush girls just wanna have fun!

Lauren Bush, left, niece of Bush, and Barbara Bush, center, daughter President Bush, wait for the start of the Zac Posen Fall 2004 fashion show, Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004, at Bryant Park in New York. At right is actor Joaquin Phoenix.
Poor President Bush! As if leading the War on Terror and surviving the Dim campaign nightmare wasn't enough, daughter Bar is gonna drive him nuts...going to nightclubs and hanging out with scary-looking Hollyweird stars like Joaquin!
They sure are pretty girls, though.
Well, God bless him...and his family.
More armed forces for our "unilateral" war from Holland, S. Korea
Netherlands to Send Extra Troops to Iraq
The Cabinet on Friday approved dispatching an additional 108 troops to Iraq, increasing the number of Dutch forces in the region to 1,260.
Thanks a zillion to the Dutch!
(Who would have thought they could show up the French?!)
S. Korea Approves Sending Troops to Iraq
South Korean Parliament Approves Plan to Send 3,000 Troops to Iraq;
Third-Largest Commitment
And thanks also to the South Koreans!
(This must be a way for them to express their gratitude for the 50 years our troops have protected them from northern invasion and for our tough diplomacy now dealing with the nuclear NorKs.)
Now JFK2 has an "intern" problem also
Only 2 American papers so far have had the, um, "nads" to carry the breaking story about John Fonda Kerry and his intern: The Philadelphia Daily News--
Kerry sex scandal lurking?
and (if we're lucky) the Chicago Sun-Times:
The Kerry scandal?
This was down when I tried to access it; the divine Miss Lucianne Goldberg, who knows about these things and where I found both links, thinks it may be because the story's so hot and the server is overwhelmed.
Before this morning, only the British papers had the stones to feature it.
If the American media mentions it at all, it's to marvel not at Kerry's infidelity, but at Matt Drudge's "conservative" attack tactics, which are supposedly another coup de main by we in the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy!
Unless Gen. Weasley Clark has been a closet Republican all this time (which is a distinct possibility!), he's not a member of the VRWC and he's the one who blabbed it!
Kerry is going to be on BSDNC with Imus in about 20 minutes to talk about this *live*--Oh, boy!
Guess it's too early to eat popcorn!
I am so not shocked by this.
Any man who would lie like he did about our military's conduct in Vietnam and about having Botox injections and about voting for the Iraq war because he was "duped," would commit adultery and lie to his wife!
Hope he doesn't mind being divorced; I don't think that pickle heiress Theresa Heinz Kerry is as forgiving as Hillary Clinton!
Kerry is now, indisputably, an idiot!
He's only been married to Theresa since 1995 and already he's cheating?
Mister, you don't cheat on your wife, especially when she's your $500,000,000 meal ticket!
(And I don't think Kerry's all that good looking or charming. Wonder how he trolls in these babes?)

The "F" stands for Fonda
Photo of Kerry with Fonda enrages Vietnam veterans

Caption: Actress and activist Jane Fonda attends an anti-Vietnam War rally at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. The rally was sponsored by Vietnam veterans. John Kerry can be seen directly in the background. Look right over Jane's head! 1970 Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, USA
It's not just the photo that has Vietnam vets enraged but the fact that upon his return to the States from Vietnam, Kerry became the most visible military spokesman against the war, heading up a group called Vietnam Vets against the War and even testi-lying in front of a Congressional Committee in 1971.
In those hearings, he accused his brother American servicemen of committing numerous war atrocities and war crimes, Kerry alleged because it was SOP, against the Vietnamese people without citing a single example or naming a single name.
Kerry and his anti-war group were one of the biggest forces behind destroying morale on the battlefront and at home, influencing Congress to eventually bring the war to a halt by stopping funding, even though America was winning, by VietCong General Giap's own admission.
Then, as now, Kerry used his service record, plus his rich Boston Brahmin connections like those to the Kennedies, to springboard into a Senate career where he continued to betray our servicemen.
Kerry headed up the POW/MIA Committee in 1992, agreeing to the Vietnamese concession that there were no more American POW/MIAs in Vietnam, when many of the military who served in country say that there are (or were).
And in his Senatorial dealings with the Vietnamese government, he's never once demanded that they respect the human rights of their citizens, as they agreed to do when they signed the 1973 Paris Peace Agreement.
The man is scum and should be allowed nowhere near being our CINC.
For more details, check out the website of Vietnam Vets against John Kerry.
If Sen. Kerry and the DNC insist on examining the details of President Bush's military service, it's only fair and right that the GOP do the same to John Fonda Kerry's.
And the details of the "real deal" behind Kerry's are pretty ugly and damning.
Rummy defends Israel's right to nukes...in Munich!
Rumsfeld supports Israel's need for nukes
US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld expressed support for Israel's need for nuclear weapons at a NATO meeting in Munich, reported Ynet Wednesday.
When asked about the US administration's leniency on Israel's alleged possession of weapons of mass destruction, Rumsfeld, without denying or asserting that Israel in fact possessed these, answered unhesitantly:
"We take the world like you find it; and Israel is a small state with a small population. It's a democracy and it exists in a neighborhood that in many – over a period of time has opined from time to time that they'd prefer it not be there and they'd like it to be put in the sea. And Israel has opined that it would prefer not to get put in the sea, and as a result, over a period of decades, it has arranged itself so it hasn't been put in the sea."
Referring to the ongoing Israel – Palestinian struggle, Rumsfeld said that "a lasting solution in that part of the world is going to come because people are exasperated, exhausted and tired of seeing their opportunities for prosperity go down the drain and tired of listening to people shoot off their mouths and ... weapons and fire bullets and no one deliver a ... thing for the people."
Listen up, "Palestinians" and the rest of the Arab world!
Rummy's talking to you, my Muslim friends, particularly you jihadists!
I really ought to send Secretary Rumsfeld a dozen roses for Valentine's Day (at least!), because I love him so!
And I love him the most when he's preaching truth to power in the presence of our enemies like the weasel powers and defending the "Zionist entity" in the very country that tried to make itself
Judenrein, which made the Jews quest for their homeland of Israel an imperative, too.

While pundits opine like there's no tomorrow, the war goes on
"Soft targets" of the homeland are made more secure, like Denver's airport:
Upgrade will make DIA window glass less lethal in blast
Denver International Airport plans to spend about $800,000 this spring to apply blast-resistant polyester film to windows in the terminal that are vulnerable to a bomb attack.
Our nation's capital is recovering from yet another
chem/bio weapons scare.
I don't know how much you've learned about death from ricin, but it's pretty horrible and worse, slow. It's chemical Ebola, basically.
We know Saddam loved it and so does Al Queda and their other radical jihadist friends.
Now comes news that IslamoNazis may already have sleeper cells in place here:
Islamic extremists invade U.S., join sleeper cells
Islamic radicals are being trained at terrorist camps in Pakistan and Kashmir as part of a conspiracy to send hundreds of operatives to "sleeper cells" in the United States, according to U.S. and foreign officials.
The intelligence and law-enforcement officials say dozens of Islamic extremists have already been routed through Europe to Muslim communities in the United States, based on secret intelligence data and information from terrorists and others detained by U.S. authorities.
A high-ranking foreign intelligence chief told The Washington Times in an interview last week that this clandestine but aggressive network of training camps "represents a serious threat to the United States, one that cannot be ignored." The official said as many as 400 terrorists have been and are being trained at camps in Pakistan and Kashmir.
U.S. intelligence officials said the camps, located in the remote regions of western Pakistan and in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir, are financed in part by various terrorist networks, including al Qaeda, and by sources in Saudi Arabia.
[...]
Al Qaeda sleeper cells are believed to be operating in 40 states, according to the FBI and other federal authorities, awaiting orders and funding for new attacks in the United States. Financed in part by millions of dollars solicited by an extensive network of bogus charities and foundations, the cells use Muslim communities as cover and places to raise cash and recruit sympathizers.
[...]
In December, the government of India said terrorist training camps in Pakistan and Kashmir that had been closed after the September 11 attacks on the United States had been reactivated, mostly along the disputed border area near the so-called Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Indian government said its army had photographs and other evidence of ongoing terrorist training, much of which was turned over to U.S. officials. That information included satellite photos and communication intercepts, U.S. law- enforcement authorities said, that documented 60 to 70 camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir as well as in Pakistan.
[...]
One veteran U.S. law-enforcement official with an extensive history in counterterrorism said many of the training camps in the Pakistan-controlled regions of Kashmir are operated by the Harakat ul-Ansar, an Islamic militant group tied to bin Laden.
The group's leaders joined with bin Laden in signing a February 1998 "fatwa" calling for attacks on U.S. and Western interests. Also known as the "Movement of Holy Warriors," Harakat ul-Ansar has been tied by U.S. and foreign intelligence officials to the January 2002 abduction and murder of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl.
Several other camps are being operated by an anti-U.S. Muslim group known as Lashkar-e-Taiba, according to U.S. and foreign intelligence officials. Listed by the State Department in 2001 as a terrorist organization, Lashkar-e-Taiba is the armed wing of the Pakistan-based religious organization Markaz-ud-Dawa-wal-Irshad.
Eleven men, including nine U.S. citizens, were arrested last year in Virginia in what authorities called the "Virginia jihad." The men were accused in a 41-count grand jury indictment of engaging in "holy jihad" to drive India out of the disputed Kashmir territory. Six have since pleaded guilty.
The indictment said some of the men traveled to Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist camps in Pakistan, where they were trained in the use of various weapons, including small arms, machine guns and grenade launchers. The indictment also said the trips occurred both before and after the September 11 attacks.
Can any of us doubt that these sleeper cells are here? Or that new ones to carry out new attacks are being plotted and planned overseas at this very moment?
I think we owe the nation of India a big thank you for the intell on these camps!
Last week, I praised Musharraf for being such a great ally in the GWOIT, but now I'm not so sure how wonderful he's been.
Pervez has, of late, become a lot like his fellow Muslim Arafat: he condemns terror with his words, but his actions (or in Perv's case, inaction) show that he's still too much behind Islamist jihadis.
For those IslamoFascists who want to attack us that aren't cozied down in sleeper cells here yet, there's this new plan:
Terrorist bid to build bombs in mid-flight
Intelligence reveals dry runs of new threat to blow up airliners
And, of course, if the jihadis prefer something nuclear, there are at least several dozen and as many as a hundred suitcase nukes
unaccounted for by the former Soviet Ukraine and Al Queda claims to have them.*
(*Tip of the fedora to Fred and his Axis of EFL gang over at
Rantburg, which should be a mandatory stop for the latest war news!)
No matter how good or bad Peggy Noonan thinks President Bush does talking points on MTP, the bad guys are going to keep trying to kill us until we kill them (or lock them up) and President Bush is the only man--and I use that term in its fullest sense--who wants to lead the fight to stop the evildoers from killing us.
He's had my vote in 2000 and it will be my honor to vote for him again this November.
Bush: American Gladiator
American Gladiator
President Bush did fine on "Meet the Press" yesterday. Tim Russert, not so fine. At least as far as Bush's critics are concerned.
They had high hopes for the interview. Russert is known as an incisive questioner and he had a full hour to interrogate the President. The editor of The Nation, Katrina vanden Heuvel, spoke for Bush haters everywhere when she urged Russert to seize the opportunity to be "a gladiator."
[...]
But it was Bush who came out of the interview looking smart and presidential. He breezed through the hour without a stumble or a pause, made his case in a relaxed, amiable way and apologized for nothing.
Russert can be relentless - he dismembered Howard Dean earlier in the campaign - but yesterday he was almost deferential. Perhaps he didn't want to assume a partisan gladiator's role. In any case, he produced nothing even remotely resembling a gotcha moment.
Give a little credit to Bush, too. Three years into his term, the President is not an easy man to ambush. Although his critics refuse to admit it, Bush is smart, tough-minded and extremely well informed. He is also very politically savvy.
Bush could, if he chose, sound just as sophisticated as vanden Heuvel or Kerry. They are all products of the same rich-kid finishing schools, after all. Kerry would never describe an important Iraqi politician as "a Shia fellow." But most voters don't mind this down-to-earth conversational style.
Bush also displayed a fine populist instinct when Russert asked him if he had been AWOL from the Texas National Guard during the Vietnam War. The President scoffed at the notion, invited inspection of his records and then cautioned against the implication that the Guard is an off-brand branch of the military.
Kerry can have the war hero vote; Bush will take the weekend warriors.
The dramatic high point of the interview was supposed to be the question of the missing weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. But Bush refused to back down or second-guess himself. "This is a dangerous world," he told Russert blandly, and went on to say that he had absorbed intelligence reports, assessed the threat to America and made his judgment. This is an explanation that will not convince Bush's critics - but neither will it strengthen their case.
In fact, nothing Bush said yesterday was new, ill-considered or accidental (or particularly convincing). But that's not Russert's fault. The notion that Bush can be demolished by a journalist is pure fantasy. If the Democrats want a gladiator, they'll have to nominate one. And when they do, a fully armed George W. Bush will be in the arena, waiting.
This "review" by Chafets of the President's "performance" yesterday on Meet the Press is about as good as any out there and almost matches my own feelings, although I support the President whole-heartedly, which I doubt Chafets does, and I find his talents and strengths more profound than this journalist also.
President Bush made a good, strong, and personally responsible stand for his actions in the Global War on Islamist Terror and he did so in plain, honest terms.
This is something that alot of the American public can relate to and appreciate.
If it's something the talking heads in the print and TV media can't, like Ms. Noonan of the WSG, then, too bad.
I also agree with Mr. Chafets that Tim Russert's behavior was an unconscionably partisan attack.
To use the word "interrogate" is completely accurate.
I don't appreciate my President being given the 3rd degree fairly discourteously on national TV for prosecuting a just war that was started because this nation was viciously and cruelly attacked!
(I don't ever remember Billy Jeff Clinton getting grilled like this about his attacks on Iraq, the Sudan or even Bosnia and Kosovo and I think we're still looking for Milosevich's mass graves while we keep finding more and more of
Saddam's.)
I wrote NBC that I am going to boycott them and their advertisers and I mean to do it.
The Liberal Media has gotten a pass from us for too long--after this Gestapo interrogation of Russert's on NBC, Janet Jackson's boob and the Reagan movie on CBS, CNN's confession that they lied for Saddam, Peter Jennings's partisan "news" reporting on ABC and the whole implosion of the BBC a few weeks ago for telling lies about Blair on the Iraq war, enough is enough!
I'm watching Fox News or nothing from now on.

al-Zarqawi files reveal he asked Al Queda for "help" in Iraq
U.S. Says Files Seek Qaeda Aid in Iraq Conflict
American officials here have obtained a detailed proposal that they conclude was written by an operative in Iraq to senior leaders of Al Qaeda, asking for help to wage a "sectarian war" in Iraq in the next months.
The Americans say they believe that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, a Jordanian who has long been under scrutiny by the United States for suspected ties to Al Qaeda, wrote the undated 17-page document. Mr. Zarqawi is believed to be operating here in Iraq.
The document was made available to The New York Times on Sunday, with an accompanying translation made by the military. A reporter was allowed to see the Arabic and English versions and to write down large parts of the translation.
The memo says extremists are failing to enlist support inside the country, and have been unable to scare the Americans into leaving. It even laments Iraq's lack of mountains in which to take refuge.
[For those of you/us who are NYTimes-speak impaired, this means that the US and the Coalition are winning the war, as well as hearts and minds! Best news I've heard since Saddam's capture!--Jen]
Yet mounting an attack on Iraq's Shiite majority could rescue the movement, according to the document. The aim, the document contends, is to prompt a counterattack against the Arab Sunni minority.
Such a "sectarian war" will rally the Sunni Arabs to the religious extremists, the document argues. It says a war against the Shiites must start soon — at"zero hour" — before the Americans hand over sovereignty to the Iraqis. That is scheduled for the end of June.
The American officials in Baghdad said they were confident the account was credible and said they had independently corroborated Mr. Zarqawi's authorship. If it is authentic, it offers an inside account of the insurgency and its frustrations, and bears out a number of American assumptions about the strength and nature of religious extremists — but it also charts out a battle to come.
The document would also constitute the strongest evidence to date of contacts between extremists in Iraq and Al Qaeda. But it does not speak to the debate about whether there was a Qaeda presence in Iraq during the Saddam Hussein era, nor is there any mention of a collaboration with Hussein loyalists.
[...]
According to the American officials here, the Arabic-language document was discovered in mid-January when a Qaeda suspect was arrested in Iraq. Under interrogation, the Americans said, the suspect identified Mr. Zarqawi as the author of the document. The man arrested was carrying it on a CD to Afghanistan, the Americans said, and intended to deliver it to people they described as the "inner circle" of Al Qaeda's leadership. That presumably refers to Osama bin Laden and his deputy, Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri.
The Americans declined to identify the suspect. But the discovery of the disc coincides with the arrest of Hassan Ghul, a Pakistani described by American officials at the time as a courier for the Qaeda network. Mr. Ghul is believed to be the first significant member of that network to have been captured inside Iraq.
The document is written with a rhetorical flourish. It calls the Americans "the biggest cowards that God has created," but at the same time sees little chance that they will be forced from Iraq.
[So much for Saddam's and Osama's "America is a paper tiger" crap! Heh-heh.--J.T.]
"So the solution, and only God knows, is that we need to bring the Shia into the battle," the writer of the document said. "It is the only way to prolong the duration of the fight between the infidels and us. If we succeed in dragging them into a sectarian war, this will awaken the sleepy Sunnis who are fearful of destruction and death at the hands" of Shiites.
[...]
In the document, the writer indicated that he had directed about 25 suicide bombings inside Iraq. That conforms with an American view that suicide bombings were more likely to be carried out by Iraqi religious extremists and foreigners than by Hussein allies.
"We were involved in all the martyrdom operations — in terms of overseeing, preparing and planning — that took place in this country," the writer of the document says. "Praise be to Allah, I have completed 25 of these operations, some of them against the Shia and their leaders, the Americans and their military, and the police, the military and the coalition forces."
But the writer details the difficulties that he and his comrades have been experiencing, both in combating American forces and in enlisting supporters. The Americans are an easy target, according to the author, who nonetheless claims to be impressed by the Americans' resolve. After significant losses, he writes, "America, however, has no intention of leaving, no matter how many wounded nor how bloody it becomes."
[That's us! Once you get us riled, we're impossible to stop or get rid of! Kinda gets you right in the suicide belt, doesn't it?--Jen]
The Iraqis themselves, the writer says, have not been receptive to taking holy warriors into their homes.
[More good news!]
"Many Iraqis would honor you as a guest and give you refuge, for you are a Muslim brother," according to the document. "However, they will not allow you to make their home a base for operations or a safe house."
The writer contends that the American efforts to set up Iraqi security services have succeeded in depriving the insurgents of allies, particularly in a country where kinship networks are extensive.
"The problem is you end up having an army and police connected by lineage, blood and appearance," the document says. "When the Americans withdraw, and they have already started doing that, they get replaced by these agents who are intimately linked to the people of this region."
With some exasperation, the author writes: "We can pack up and leave and look for another land, just like what has happened in so many lands of jihad. Our enemy is growing stronger day after day, and its intelligence information increases.
[Oh, Yeah! Hurray for our military and President Bush! This Bush Doctrine is so working. John Fonda Kerry and the Dimocrats should be afraid!--Jen]
"By God, this is suffocation!" the writer says.
[YESSSSSS!]
But there is still time to mount a war against the Shiites, thereby to set off a wider war, he writes, if attacks are well under way before the turnover of sovereignty in June. After that, the writer suggests, any attacks on Shiites will be viewed as Iraqi-on-Iraqi violence that will find little support among the people.
"We have to get to the zero hour in order to openly begin controlling the land by night, and after that by day, God willing," the writer says. "The zero hour needs to be at least four months before the new government gets in place."
That is the timetable, the author concludes, because, after that, "How can we kill their cousins and sons?"
"The Americans will continue to control from their bases, but the sons of this land will be the authority," the letter states. "This is the democracy. We will have no pretexts."
Yes! Fist pumping in air! Smells like victory!
As I post this, there's been the
second bombing in 2 days of an Iraqi army recruitment center with 50 or more deaths and 60 or more injuries and Iraq may yet have some dark days ahead of her before we attain "zero hour" on our handover in June.
I think someone should tell this Zarqawi loser that his zero hour is long past.
I'm fairly sure that the Iraqi people knew who'd been doing the bombing long before this memo was found and understood that it was Iraqi-on-Iraqi violence almost since we liberated them from Saddam.
For Al Queda to rely on the Sunnis, who constitute 10% of the population and most of whom were certainly Baathist Sunnis who backed Saddam's reign of terror is a real long shot.
Remember what they did to
collaborateurs in France after the Liberation in 1944? (Yes, I know the French are psychotic, but...) We may yet see the Iraqis do something similar to the Baathists.
Also, as the Islamist terrorists seem bent on being like their Paleostinian "brothers" and the way they wage war on Israel, the Coalition and the Iraqi Civil defenders like the police (IP) would be well advised to adopt many of the tactics of the IDF.
Finding this memo gave us huge confirmation that we're doing everything right!
And I salute the NYTimes for printing it...but its publication should be making an equally huge and joyful noise in our land.
Instead, this gospel, i.e. meaning literally "good news," is being drowned out by the Liberal Media's latest features harping on President Bush's National Guard service record during the Vietnam War (Yawn), Joe Wilson's
L'Affaire Plame, the Beltway Insider's mindless soap opera (Double yawn) or John Fonda's (Kerry) win of a couple of more Dimocrat primaries (Triple yawn).
So, I'll shout about it: We're winning the WOT!!!

My man Rummy calls out Media, weasel powers
Rumsfeld makes emotional defense of war on Iraq
Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld made an emotional defense of the US-led war on Iraq but acknowledged that it has taken a toll on the US image in the world.
"I know in my heart and my brain that America ain't what's wrong in the world," he told an audience of defense and foreign policy luminaries here that included some the fiercest European opponents of the war.
Rumsfeld spoke shortly after German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer told the same audience that events in Iraq had proven Germany's anti-war position to be right.
But Fischer said that everyone would be losers if the US coalition in Iraq were to fail now.
[Particularly the German economy, selfish b*st*rds!--Jen]
Despite his "deep skepticism," the German minister said that Berlin would not stand in the way of deeper NATO involvement in Iraq [As if they could...!--J.T.] but it would send no troops of its own.
The debate came at the annual Munich security conference in this southern German city.
Rumsfeld defended the war in emotional terms as an action to free a brutalized people from a tyrant who passed up a final opportunity to fully disarm under the terms of UN Security Council resolutions.
At one point, he appeared to choke up on the podium as he recounted seeing the name of a high school friend on a memorial to US dead in the 1950-53 Korean war.
He recalled being questioned later by a South Korean journalist who asked why Koreans should go all the way to Iraq to risk death.
"That would have been a fair question for an American journalist to ask. Why in the world should an American go halfway around the world to Korea to be wounded or die?"
"We were in a building that looked out over the city of Seoul. I said, 'I'll tell you why. Look out that window.' And out that window you could see life, and cars and energy," he said.
Rumsfeld skirted questions about the US failure to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, a key rationale for the US invasion.
[Only to the Liberal Lying Left media and their cohorts in the DNC.]
Asked about the intelligence failures, Rumsfeld said it was a question of critical importance that would be looked at by a commission named Friday by President George W. Bush.
But he argued that preemptive military action had to be weighed in a world in which terrorists and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction raised the prospects of thousands of people being killed in attacks.
"If someone is going to throw a snowball, you may not want to have a preemptive attack," he said. "You can afford to take the blow, and live with it and do something after the fact."
As you go upscale from snowball to weapons of mass destruction, at some point where the risk gets high enough it's not going to be a snowball in your face," he said.
"It could be a biological weapon that is going to kill tens of thousands of human beings. Then you have to ask yourself if you have an obligation to take the blow and do something afterwards."
Rumsfeld acknowledged an assertion that the US image in the world had been hurt but blamed it on media coverage, which he called "shocking, absolutely shocking."
[I quite agree, Secretary Rumsfeld. I, too, am shocked on an almost daily basis by their bias and not-so-hidden agenda.--Jen]
"To think what was going on in Iraq a year ago with people being tortured, rape rooms, mass graves, gross corruption, a country that had used chemical weapons on its own people, used them on their neighbors, defiant to the United Nations through 17 security council resolutions," he said.
"And look at the way it was treated in the press. There were prominent people who represent countries in this room who opined that they didn't think it made a hell of a lot of difference who won," he said.
[Remember when France's Dominique de VILEpin said during the Iraq war that he didn't care if our Coalition won? Worse still, I think he may have indicated that he wanted Saddam to prevail...--Jen]
Fischer defended Germany's decision not to join the US-coalition.
Well, that makes it alright for Joschka, doesn't it?
Being that Fischer's a former terrorist and member of the Beider Meinhoff gang, we wouldn't want to get too "in your face" with terrorism, would we?
SecDef Rumsfeld here, as ever, conducts himself as an officer and a gentleman.
Rumsfeld is a good, decent man who both knows the personal cost of war and feels deeply the slights to our good country and our efforts to help our fellow human beings, even though they be in the guise of military action.
He's not about to let "old Europe" forget how they stabbed America, the West and the Iraqi people in the back with their craven stance of appeasement when it came time to act on Saddam's bellicosity and defiance.
I love President Bush and his terrific Administration, starting with VP Cheney and SecDef Rumsfeld.
Good, decent, patriotic, imminently capable and Freedom-loving men and women all!
Afghan teen reveals he had a "good time" at Gitmo
I had a good time at Guantanamo, says inmate
An Afghan boy whose 14-month detention by US authorities as a terrorist suspect in Cuba prompted an outcry from human rights campaigners said yesterday that he enjoyed his time in the camp.
Mohammed Ismail Agha, 15, who until last week was held at the US military base in Guantanamo Bay, said that he was treated very well and particularly enjoyed learning to speak English. His words will disappoint critics of the US policy of detaining "illegal combatants" in south-east Cuba indefinitely and without trial.
What's that sound I hear?
Is it the gnashing of teeth of Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and Vanessa Redgrave?
Why don't they quit whining about the U.S. and go bother Kim Jong-Il, Fidel Castro or some of the many other regime leaders around the world who
really torture and abuse prisoners?
NYPD sends team to Moscow to aid in subway bombing investigation
New York Police Department Sends Team to Moscow
My first worry when I heard about Friday's subway bombing in Moscow, after saying a prayer for my friend James's safety who is stationed with our U.S. embassy there, was that this could happen in one of our big cities, especially the Big Apple.
Good to see that New York's Finest are already all over it.
President Putin's convinced that it's the (Islamist) Chechens who carried it out as a suicide bombing and it probably is.
We shall see.
Too bad Vladimir didn't choose to join our WOT but instead chose to make the Islamist terrorists in Chechnya his own personal, Russian terrorists.
God rest the souls of those 39 innocent people who were killed and may He bring healing to the 120 who were wounded.
