Rick Moran of RightWingNuthouse has gone to the trouble of compiling a detailed and link-rich timeline of the local, state and federal government response to Katrina that reveals that the seemingly slow and bungled official reaction wasn't "Bush's fault" but Blanco's and Nagin's.

Why didn't N.O. mayor Ray Nagin use these 200+ school buses to evacuate before the storm and the flood?
Guess will never know, because he's too busy blaming others to tell us.

Thank God they weren't totally wasted;
some citizens like quick-thinking Jabbar Gibson used their own initiative, "stole" a bus or two and rescued imperiled fellow citizens anyway!
